Well, it is finally here! My perfect resource for learning the basics of quilting. The book is called "The Practical Guide to Patchwork," and was recommended to me by practically everyone I asked. The author, Elizabeth Hartman, also has a really amazing blog that I have started following as well. I think I am ready to start on this process!
I purchased a set of fat quarters from Joann Fabrics last week during their sewing event. I love the fabric! I will be using them to make a blanket for our baby girl. I also bought some adorable robot fabric to make a blanket for our toddler.
So far, here is my sewing project list:
1) An apron
2) Burp cloths
3) Blanket for baby girl
4) Blanket for our son
5) Bedding for baby girl (quilt, fitted sheet, top sheet, pillow, bed skirt, and canopy)
6) Bedding for our son (quilt, fitted sheet, top sheet, pillow case, pillow, and curtains)
7) A chenille blanket
8) A "Snapshots" Quilt
9) A "Fenced In" Quilt
10) A "Kitchen Window" Quilt
Then there is my crafting list:
1) A knitted scarf (I have some gorgeous purple yarn!)
2) A tutu
3) A Buddy Costume (From Dinosaur Train)
Lets see how long all of this takes me! ;)
